In July 1936, a part of the Army stood up against the Government of the Republic, beginning a new Civil War wich would ravage Spain during three years. In this confrontation other states intervented through indirect support of one of the sides.
The battle of Teruel was decisive, it was very hard. Because we have an extreme weather: in winter the temperature could be 14º degrees below zero, however in summer the temperature could be 40º degrees. And during the Battle of Teruel (december 1937-febreary 1938), the temperature was 20º degrees below zero!! Horrible!!
I´m going to explain you, this horrible chapter of Teruel´s history where the 70%-80% of the city-centre´s buildings were destroyed!
